global luxury property market.
Cape Town has ranked 4th out of the top 10 lifestyle cities dominating the 2025 luxury real estate
map. The top 3 are Dubai, Marbella and London.
Cape Town with a median price per listing of $1,102,000 has emerged as a major player in recent
years. A combination of natural beauty and favorable exchange rates providing a distinct alternative
for the European and American markets.
According to Savills’ World Cities Prime Residential Index, Cape Town has been the 6th best
performing market for prime residential property in 2025. Wealthy buyers are drawn for the lifestyle
benefits. It all ties in with the James Edition article. Cape Town is forecast to grown a further 6% or
more in 2025.
Hardie Property has experienced a robust winter with a steady steam of sales across prime areas of
Cape Town and is expecting high levels of demand from buyers this coming summer season.
However, inventory is at its lowest levels in years said Richard Hardie who has never experienced a
market like it during his 22 year career spanning London, Guernsey and Cape Town.
